Épris by Max Factor: launched in 1981. Pronounced "ay-PREE, from the French word, "Eprendre," meaning "captivated with love."
Épris was represented in advertisements by Charlie's Angels actress Jaclyn Smith. She also made in-store appearances to promote the fragrance.
Fragrance Composition:
So what does it smell like? It is classified as a floral mossy animalic chypre fragrance for women. It starts off with a sparkling aldehydic top note, followed by an elegant exotic floral heart of mimosa, ylang ylang, carnation, lily of the valley, rose punctuated with soft oriental spice and herbal notes including carnation, estragon, coriander, basil, clove layered over a sweet, powdery base incorporating deep aromas of woods, earthy mosses and sensual musk and amber.

- Middle notes: carnation, clove, ylang ylang, lily of the valley, Damascene rose, jasmine, orris
- Base notes: oakmoss, amber, sandalwood, vetiver, musk, incense, vanilla
