The Minyunet Corporation was loacted at 67 Fifth Avenue, New York City, New York. Its name is the phonetic rendering of the French word "mignonette" and was felt would be easier for English speaking customers to pronounce, much akin to what Maison Violet did by creating a subsidiary brand called Veolay.

Minyunet sold toiletries and perfumes. In 1923, they introduced their "Volcano Lava," a facial mask made of genuine Italian volcanic clay, which they called the "Mud of Youth" it came in an attractive ornamental jar. It was said to have contained "absolutely nothing" which will harm the most delicate skin. They also offered a "harmless depilatory, wax""Noshine" day Cream, "Minyunet" Day Cream, "Minyunet" Night Cream and other products.

The Pharmaceutical Era, 1924:

"The Minyunet Corporation , 67-A Fifth Ave. are adding to their line a new talcum powder in a blue enamel tin package and a lip stick in a gold and black package which will be ready for delivery the first of September. These will be perfumed with their Mignonette odor which is used all through their line."

In 1937, they were included in the Robert D. Fisher Manual of Extinct of Obsolete Companies.

The perfumes of Minyunet:

  • 1923 Mignonette

The Mignonette line in addition to perfume, also included face powder. The Mignonette was the described as the "delicately exquisite fragrance of mignonette and only the rare flowers found in the valleys of the French Riviera."

Bottles:

In 1924, the Fulper Pottery Company created a lovely glazed ceramic figural perfume bottle in the shape of a kneeling ancient Egyptian woman for the perfume, Mignonette. The sensual figure was painted with a scant costume and jewelry. The head served as the stopper and was fitted with a glass dauber. The figure measures 5" tall.
