Diable au Corps by Donatella Pecci Blunt: launched in 1990, in association with by Diana da Silva Cosmétiques.

The name which means "Devil in the Flesh", is derived from the autobiographical novel Le Diable au Corps written by Raymond Radiguet, a protege and homosexual lover of Jean Cocteau. The novel is an account of a scandalous affair between a sixteen year old boy and a slightly older married woman during World War I.


Fragrance Composition:


So what does it smell like? It is classified as a floral oriental fragrance for women.
  • Top notes: galbanum, mandarin, marigold and peach 
  • Middle notes: cinnamon, ylang-ylang, rose, jasmine, carnation, cardamom, coriander and French labdanum 
  • Base notes: opoponax, oakmoss, patchouli, amber, vanilla, myrrh, sandalwood, Virginia cedar, civet, castoreum and musk



Bottle:


The rectangular semi-precious styled bottle with angular centre and clear cut stoppered bottle was designed by Pierre Dinand in 1989. The bottle was manufactured by Pochet et du Courval with plastic components supplied by INCA.


Fate of the Fragrance:


Discontinued, date unknown.
