Monsieur de Rauch by Madeleine de Rauch: launched in 1950 or 1967 (per Osmotheque). Created by Raymond Chaillan and Jacques Bercia.




Fragrance Composition:



So what does it smell like? It is classified as a refreshing, but bittersweet citrus woody fragrance for men.
  • Top notes: lemon, bergamot, lavender, galbanum, 
  • Middle notes: orange, petitgrain, fern, geranium, jasmine, coriander, clary sage, clove
  • Base notes: amber, oakmoss, musk, sandalwood, tonka bean, vanilla, cedar

Fate of the Fragrance:


Discontinued sometime in the 1980s. In 1998, three of the original de Rauch fragrances were reformulated and relaunched: Miss de Rauch, Belle de Rauch and Monsieur de Rauch (which was rechristened Man de Rauch).


Man de Rauch: classified as a rich woody oriental fragrance for men. Notes: woods, vanilla, amber.
